Welcome to Dr. Peter Blumenthal Dental

Dr. Peter Blumenthal has been in private practice as a general, restorative and cosmetic dentist in Boca Raton, Florida since 1975.  As an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Blumenthal received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1970.  He earned membership in the National Engineering Honor Society (Sigma Tau), is a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials, was voted into the Friars Honor Society, and was honored as a member of the All Ivy League Varsity Football Team. 

Dr. Blumenthal believes his undergraduate degree in engineering has had a positive influence on his practice of restorative and cosmetic dentistry from both a bio-materials and bio-mechanical perspective.

Dr. Blumenthal continued his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania, and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree from the University’s School of Dental Medicine in 1974.  While there he earned membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society (OKU) and the Eta Sigma Sigma Dental Honor Society.

After working as a part time clinical instructor at the dental school, he chose to do an internship program at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital In Philadelphia. Upon completion of his internship he joined a practice in Philadelphia prior to moving to Florida and opening his own practice in Boca Raton.

Dr. Blumenthal holds his dental license in Florida and is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Atlantic Coast District Dental Association, South Palm Beach County Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  He is also a recipient of the Honorable Fellow Award from the Florida Dental Association.

Dr. Blumenthal was voted “Best Dentist in Palm Beach County” by a survey of doctors taken by South Florida Magazine.  He is listed in The Consumer’s Research Council of America’s “Guide to America’s Top Dentists”, and was voted “Best Dentist in Boca Raton, 2000” by a survey taken by the West Boca Raton & Thursday Times.

Dr. Blumenthal has been married to his wife Elise since 1970. They have three children, Michael, an artist and gallery owner in Tzfat, Israel, Lauren, owner of Bond Street Salon in Delray Beach Florida, and Samantha, a School Psychologist for Palm Beach County Schools. They have 3 grandchildren, Jacob, who is currently attending Emerson College in Boston, and Sylvia and Penelope, 6 and 4. 

Dr. Maya Bartels earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from LECOM School of Dental Medicine.  While there, she was the president of the research group and won multiple awards for presenting innovative dental research.

Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Bartels spent 3 years conducting research in Parkinson’s Disease.

Dr. Bartels is originally from Israel.  She moved to Florida to study at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Bartels is a licensed dentist in Florida and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.  BARTELS RECEIVED EXTENSIVE TRAINING IN FACIAL ESTHETICS AND OROFACIAL PAIN THROUGH THE AAFE.  She provides treatments with Botulinum Toxin (Botox) and Dermal fillers.

Dr. Bartels is married to Marcus, who played football at FAU.  They have two beautiful children, Madden and Malia along with their dog Bamba.

Dr. Bartels practices all phases of general, cosmetic and comprehensive restorative dentistry.

She is a welcome addition to our practice.
